Jan. 2 2019 -- Maggie Brown is a sophomore aerospace engineer major and is one of a only six Wichita State students chosen as a University Innovation Fellow. 

Dec. 6, 2018 -- Trudy Martin is a fifth-year senior at WSU studying electronic media and is an intern at KMUW.

December 6, 2018-- First generation student Ana Lopez found that determination and passion trumped uncertainty every time.

Dec. 4, 2018 - WSU School of Nursing instructor Richard Nold spent two weeks in North Carolina earlier this fall providing medical assistance to victims of Hurricane Florence.

Nov. 6, 2018 -- WSU student Tammy Dorsey created the Pedi-Cell, a diagnostic tool that can detect fetal acidosis.

Nov. 2, 2018 -- Jessica Aldrich, a graduate student at Wichita State University, is leading the way in bringing StartUp Grind U to WSU. StartUp Grind is a global startup company designed to educate, inspire and connect entrepreneurs.

Oct. 31, 2018 -- Wichita State student Suzie Wright, a social work major, had the opportunity to work with children through an applied learning experience at the Wichita State Child Development Center.

Oct. 31, 2018 -- Lauren Gawlak, a junior studying criminal justice at Wichita State, spent the summer gaining firsthand experience as an intern with the Lenexa Police Department.

Oct. 26, 2018 -- As part of a summer class, senior fine arts major Xuan Ha got the opportunity to work on the Jump!Star sculpture, working to fabricate a large, illuminated paper sculpture.

Oct. 16, 2018 -- Wichita State professor David McDonald and graduate assistant Alisha Prince are trying to change the world, one mouth at a time. The team is teaming up with Ocean Spray to research synergistic properties contained in cranberries and other natural extracts that will, in theory, stop the decay of teeth and provide an alternative to traditional oral health care.

Oct. 10, 2018 - WSU Tech's Dental Assistant program has moved to the Advanced Education in General Dentistry building at Wichita State.

Oct. 5, 2018 -- Retired Lt. Colonel Larry Burks is the new director of Military and Veteran Services at Wichita State University.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- Wichita State University has been awarded $813,000 to boost enrollment and retention of students under-represented in science, technology, engineering and math. The funds are part of a larger $3 million, five-year National Science Foundation grant awarded to Kansas State University, which is sharing grant funds with a statewide coalition of universities and community colleges.

Sept. 27, 2018 - Zane Storlie, a junior majoring in computer science at Wichita State, has received a $10,000 a year scholarship from High Touch, a Wichita technology company. The scholarship is renewable and honors the memory of Pat Riddle, a WSU alumna and former High Touch employee.

Sept. 26, 2018 - Dean Elledge, program director for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Wichita State, has won the Dentist of the Year award from the Wichita District Dental Society.
